December 8th – Children’s Christmas Party

Smiles abounded at our Children’s Christmas Party on Saturday, December 8.  Take a look at the pictures below!

Many families began the day enjoying a full holiday dinner of ham, potatoes au gratin, green beans, baked apples, roll and a brownie dessert. Volunteers from the Montgomery County Regional S.W.A.T. team and friends served in the dining room. Singing was heard throughout the building as the a’cappella choir Fusion from Kettering Fairmont HS performed. Pastor David Faille of Patterson Park Church shared the Christmas Story over three sessions.  Games, face painting, cookie decorating, card and ornament making, shopping in Santa’s Secret Shoppe, and a visit to Santa were included in the day’s events. While visiting Santa, each child received a gift and a polaroid family photo.  Thirty bicycles were also given away at the conclusion of the party.

Out of 435 guests, 271 children were able to take part in the activities.  The 120 volunteers which were needed to make the day a success, came largely from several area churches and the Life Enrichment Center.

Gifts were provided by the congregation of Patterson Park Church, clients of Curves – Centerville, and The Job Center employees.  Additional support for the party was provided by CareSource and Academy Health Services, Inc.

THANK YOU ALL for making the day special  for so many children!!
