Congratulations to Ron Williams, April’s Volunteer of the Month

Ron Williams and Butch Hunter in Kitchen

Ron has been a kitchen staff volunteer for 9 years. He is always cheerful, smiling, ready to help with any task and willing to try new foods, with  just a little coaxing!
He like all of the kitchen staff gets to eat his meal after all of the clients have been served, however it is not unusual for Ron to give his meal to a client that shows up after the food line has been closed!
He not only volunteers at the LEC, he also is involved with Habitat for Humanity, Buckeye Baptist Builders and does volunteer work through his church.

Ron starts our breakfast program each morning with a bible verse and engages the clients to take an active part in their own spiritual and physical health. Since he has been blessed with children, grand children and great grand children, he is not above offering a little wise grandfatherly advice. Of course only to those who could benefit from it!

In the true Christian spirit Ron is always looking out for the other guy, he is his brother keeper! But that just might be because he is a twin!

For Ron we are truly thankful!  He like all of the kitchen staff gets to eat his meal after all of the clients have been served, however, it is not unusual for Ron to give his meal to a client that shows up after the food line has been closed!!-Butch Hunter, Kitchen and Facility Coordinator
